Trend to Try: Blushing Buds

AS you might know, barely there nudes and basic black aren’t the only shades to choose from in make-up anymore. Embracing colour is mandatory and colourful inspiration can be found in many places, but we recommend looking to nature. After all, we might as well grab hold of warm weather looks while we still can! From hydrangeas and peonies to roses and orchids, we’re taking our make-up cues directly from their petals. First up how to wear blushing hues.

OF course pink would be part of floral inspired make-up! The shade can range from poppin’ fuschia to the softest shade of blush. It’s easy to pull off on lids, cheeks and lips. If your kit doesn’t include a pink eyeshadow, no worries – use your pinkish blush on both cheeks and as an eyeshadow. Bonus points if you pair it with another flowery hue on lips.

I am Beauty Editor at People Magazine and a make-up artist. I have worked with many celebrities, including, Phumeza Mdaba, Boity, Zuraida Jardine and Rolene Strauss. I always knew I would work in magazines, as I grew up in publishing (my parents are publishers). When I’m not writing beauty or following my passion for make-up, I can be found reading and spending time with family and friends. I am also a tea-lover
