
Bacon And Pork Banger Pasta
L’loyd Cele didn’t realise how much his life would change when he was named the runner-up in the Idols SA competition in 2010. He is now an upcoming artist on the local music scene. The star loves a hearty bacon, pork banger and veggie pasta to warm him up in winter, so we share a yummy recipe with you.
Ingredients
1 packet shell shaped pasta
1 packet bacon, chopped
1 packet pork sausages, sliced
1 medium onion, chopped
1kg mixed vegetables
1kg mushrooms
1 packet Royco Mushroom Sauce, prepared as per the instructions on the packet
Grated cheese
Method:
Boil the pasta as instructed on the packet. Drain the water and keep to one side. Fry the bacon and pork bangers until cooked and brown. Fry the chopped onion and mixed vegetables until lightly brown. Add the sliced mushrooms last as they cook quickly. Season with mixed herbs and ground pepper. Once the vegetables are cooked, add the bacon and sausages to the veggies and mix well. Add the cooked pasta and then lastly the prepared mushroom sauce. Mix well, place in a lightly greased oven dish, sprinkle grated cheese on top and grill in the over until the cheese is brown. Serve.
