Forty-five year old Patsy Joubert shares her story
Patsy lost 25 kilograms by attending the Adventure Boot Camp For Women at Rand Park Primary School in Johannesburg. She weighed 124.4 kilograms prior to the program and she is currently 99.2 kilograms. Allow Patsy to tell you all about her victory over an unhealthy lifestyle:
I joined Adventure Boot Camp in October 2015 to lose weight for my son’s wedding. It was very tough in the beginning; I struggled a lot and wanted to give up after the first few times, but then I realised I wasn’t alone in my struggle – the friends that I have made at camp are amazing and I made bonds that I know will last forever. If it were not for them I would not have shed the 25 kilograms that I needed to lose.
As for my trainers what can I say? They are truly professional and helpful people. Words cannot express the passion and love they have for us. They are always eager to help, give pep talks to support us, and are a shoulder to cry on when times are so tough. I feel so much better about my body and my health now. Since I started ABC I have lost 25kgs – from 124.4 kilograms to 99.2 kilograms and it’s all thanks to Adventure Boot Camp and the work that I put in. I recommend it to everyone – I am living proof that it really works!

In 2013, after giving birth to three children and years of trying all kinds of special diets and gyms, I received an Adventure Boot Camp promo email from one of my work colleagues – we all decided to join. It was a life changing experience! The fitness bunnies who used to intimidate me became motivators and friends – they helped me to realise that I needed to do things that were for me and that made me feel good about myself. I declared Adventure Boot Camp and running ‘me’ time – not to be disturbed by anything, and the results were amazing. I’ve lost 15 kilograms (and counting) and am so happy!
