MAKING YOU A BETTER VERSION OF YOURSELF

How did this incredible powerhouse brand come about? As a cancer survivor, Dr Fatima Bhabha understands the personal struggles of cancer patients and what their bodies endure during treatment, while her sister, Dr Zaheda Bhabha faced her own emotional trauma when her daughter was born with a cleft lip and palette. At the time she had completed her Masters in Family Medicine and was volunteering at Helen Joseph Hospital. She immediately began researching non-invasive scar revision and sculpting, which prompted her move into non-invasive aesthetics. As a co-founder of Beauty & Curves, Dr. Fatima Bhabha has been a thought leader in the beauty industry for almost a decade.

“It is incredibly rewarding to work in this field of medicine,” shares Dr. Zaheda Bhabha. “It is not about making women look beautiful. It is about empowering them and giving them confidence again. Life has so many twists and turns and sometimes an injury that can cause severe scarring can leave a women too embarrassed to leave the house. We also see many patients who have gone through illness and their appearances have changed as a result. It is amazing how much better a woman can feel about herself when she looks in the mirror and we have restored her former beauty” she concludes.

As the business strategist and co-founder of Beauty & Curves, Dr. Zaheda Bhabha has made women’s health and well-being her mandate.  When her daughter was born with a cleft lip and palate, Dr Bhabha made it her mission to find a solution and began researching non-invasive scar revision and sculpting. It was this that prompted her to pursue a career in non-invasive aesthetics.

Carli

I am Beauty Editor at People Magazine and a make-up artist. I have worked with many celebrities, including, Phumeza Mdaba, Boity, Zuraida Jardine and Rolene Strauss. I always knew I would work in magazines, as I grew up in publishing (my parents are publishers). When I’m not writing beauty or following my passion for make-up, I can be found reading and spending time with family and friends. I am also a tea-lover
