2017 Golden Globes Red Carpet
THE 2017 Golden Globes aired this last Sunday night, and if you missed the fashion on the carpet, well then you are in luck, as we have showcased some of the best looks of the night. There were major fashion moments and, in our opinion, more best dressed nominees than any other previous year. But, as always, with the good comes the bad, and there were also some looks which missed the fashion mark completely. So let’s get started and start our red carpet analyses!
REESE stood out in a canary yellow gown by Versace. The colour complimented the star’s gorgeous skin tone and blonde locks. This colour is a huge trend for 2017, and she definitely hit the nail on the head.
EMMA stood out in this starry ensemble with beautiful embellishments by Valentino. She kept accessories simple and the plunging neckline and diamond collar necklace made her look sexy, feminine and bold at the same time.
DEFINITELY our Best Dressed without a doubt! The star stepped out on the carpet in an Elie Saab plunging gown. The gown featured black and white print and 3d applique. She pulled a fast one on us, though, because she’s known for simple and elegant silhouette. That aside, this look worked perfectly for the star.
WE aren’t too sure about this look – it kind of feels like she pulled her curtains down and quickly whipped something up. The waistline didn’t sit properly and didn’t compliment Chrissy’s killer bod at all. In fact, the whole gown itself by Marchesa is beautiful but didn’t work for her.
TRUST Priyanka to never disappoint whenever you see her. As with everything she wears, she always makes it glamorous and stunning. Priyanka walked the carpet in a gold embellished body-fitting plunging V-neckline gown by Ralph Lauren and accessorised with a pendant.
HOW does Blake look this good after recently giving birth to her second child?!This dress was classy and glamorous, as she wore an Atlelier Versace gown featuring gold sequinned detailing and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
HAILEE stepped out in a lavender gown by Vera Wang. She looked dreamy in this princess inspired silhouette number with the elegant soft slit and cut-out shoulders. The cut-out shoulders were unexpected, but it worked as it complimented her edgy side.
Sarah Jessica Parker
SOFIA turned the heat up in an embroidered cut-out shoulder gown by Zuhair Murad. Trust this designer to always create magic! It was another of our Best Dressed moments. We like that she changed things up a bit from her typical strapless figure-hugging gown to this option, which she worked effortlessly.
THE supermodel wore an Atelier Versace gown in a dusty pink and black design. The stripes and panels were intricate and featured even more detailing around the waist and hem. This was a huge fashion moment, and we couldn’t have chosen a better person than Naomi to wear this gown.
THE queen of taking risks and breaking all fashion trends Janelle stepped out in a black sequinned, wide neckline, gathered skirt featuring silk taffeta covered in a veil of oversized polka dots by Armani. This look was edgy, fun and playful! We loved it!
Tracee Elliss Ross
What more perfect way is there to win the Golden Globes than in a Zuhair Murad Gown? She wore a strapless dress paired with sparkly pumps and, to add more to this sexy look, she sported stacked diamond rings on each finger, pulling off the perfect glitz and glam look.
