Zayn Malik reportedly wants to create his own comic.

The 21-year-old One Direction singer was recently announced as the inspiration for a new illustration of Marvel’s Ghost Rider.

And according to UK newspaper The Sun, Zayn has been inspired to expand on his involvement in the comic book world.

“If Zayn’s not in the studio he’s doodling on his notepad,” a source said.

“He doesn’t think his drawings are much to rave about, he says he’s the worst artist in his family. But he still dreams of releasing a novel and is over the moon that Marvel artists are keeping in touch via email.”

Zayn had yet to confirm the report at press time.

The Sun previously reported Marvel editor Mark Paniccia and illustrator Felipe Smith had dreamed up an incarnation of a character named Robbie, aka Ghost Rider, based on “the guy from that boyband”, Zayn.

“If you look him up on Google you can find a bunch of images of him,” Mark reportedly told Felipe.

“I was picturing Robbie as a beefier version of him. Physically strong, with a quiet, troubled expression, kind of boyish.”

While Zayn may be working on fulfilling his dream of making his own comic, the star is also busy preparing for One Direction’s upcoming tour.

Zayn and bandmates Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan are scheduled to hit the road in April for their Where We Are Tour, which kickstarts April 25 in Bogota.

The trek will continue running in South America through mid-May before the guys hop to Europe, where they will remain until mid-July.

The group is then scheduled to trek to North America, wrapping up the concert series in Miami on October 5. © Cover Media
