Bruce Willis has called his 15-month-old daughter Mabel his Achilles' heel.
Bruce Willis’ toddler daughter is his “kryptonite”.
The action hero has Mabel with his wife Emma Heming and three grown-up daughters with his ex-spouse Demi Moore.
Becoming a father again has been an astounding experience for the 58-year-old star, who aims to spend as much time as possible with his little girl.
“It is a woman, she is only 15-and-a-half months old but she’s my kryptonite – Mabel,” he told UK TV show Daybreak.
“[My girl] Scout just graduated from Brown with straight As and flying colours. It’s just awesome. I am very proud of all my daughters.”
Bruce feels honoured to be surrounded by women and wouldn’t change his life for anything. He joked that the only downside is he doesn’t get much of a say when it comes to family plans.
“It’s all good, I haven’t found a time yet that’s bad, I get to learn a lot more about women than most men do. Because it’s just me and 20 women around me,” he laughed.
“You would think [they would want me to be tough at home]… they sometimes let me be in charge, but just briefly. Just for near moments really.”
Bruce is promoting his new movie Red 2, which also stars Dame Helen Mirren, Catherine-Zeta Jones and Mary-Louise Parker. It’s a follow-up to the 2010 release and offers all the action fans could want – including a scene where Helen wields a giant gun.
Working with such a stellar cast is why Bruce signed up.
“I really do like working with a big cast and ensembles like this. This cast is really funny and really professional and comedy is a hard thing to do. It’s hard to make anybody laugh any time,” he said.
“It’s a pretty big juxtaposition to give [Helen] a gun that big and let her fire it, it just makes me smile."
Bruce also cleared up a rumour that he shot a bee on set, insisting the incident didn’t happen in quite the way it’s been reported.
“I didn’t kill the bee, I winged it – I just kinda slowed it down a little. If I was gonna kill the bee I would have shot it dead [in the face],” he insisted.
“It was coming after Mary-Louise Parker, my love interest, and I wouldn’t want a bee to sting her.” © Cover Media
