Nicki Minaj will be designing and developing her own clothing and accessories line for Kmart this year.

The American Idol judge was rumoured to be in the process of inking a deal with a big US retailer earlier this week.

It has now been confirmed that Nicki, along with The Voice judge Adam Levine, has been signed up by the chain store Kmart and ShopYourWay.com to develop their collections.

"I am so excited to work with this iconic, mass retailer and to bring affordable fashion to my beautiful barbz [her fans] all across the US," Nicki gushed in an official statement about the deal.

The two music stars will be producing apparel, accessories and homeware lines for Kmart that are reflective of their personalities and distinctive individual styles.

The collections will extend beyond products and will be integrated with unique, fun, and engaging social experiences through Shop Your Way membership programs that offer rewards, deals, product reviews, contests and sweepstakes when you sign up.

Through Shop Your Way Nicki and Adam will each offer unique interactive content, dream experiences for followers, and special promotions involving their new collections and the inspiration behind them.

It is hopes this will help Adam and Nicki showcase the richness of their voices, brands, and lifestyles.
