Seal has countered his estranged wife Heidi Klum’s divorce filing and submitted his own court documents in Los Angeles Superior Court today.

The British singer is seeking joint physical custody of their four children which differs from the German model’s filing last Friday.

She has petitioned to have joint legal custody of Leni, seven, Henry, six, Johan, five, and Lou, two, with visitation for Seal.

But sources told People magazine that it is just a legal technicality and no custody battle is expected.

The 49-year-old performer also put the marriage ended because of “irreconcilable differences” after seven years being wed.

The couple announced they were separating back in January and both have now taken their wedding rings off.

Heidi, 38, and Seal tied the knot in Mexico in 2005. They had renewed their vows every year in a themed bash and their split came as a shock to many. © Cover Media
